Pete Carr

Mr. Carr is a CapTech Principal. He is a thought leader in the area of data and analytics. With over 25 years of data management experience and with an expertise in data governance and data privacy, Mr. Carr has a constant focus on continually learning and evolving organizational data architectures.

Mr. Carr regularly meets with current and prospective clients, vendors, and industry analysts to discuss current business challenges as well as approaches to solving these challenges. Mr. Carr’s core skills include data privacy, strategic planning, solution design, data architecture, data integration, and data governance.

Prior to joining CapTech, Mr. Carr’s career included work at McKinsey & Company, Exxon Mobil, Informatica, Northrop Grumman Information Technology, and Serco. He also co-founded a China-based start-up company that operated in Shanghai, China, in the late 1990s.

Mr. Carr holds a B.S. in Commerce and an M.S. in Management of Information Technology from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce. Mr. Carr enjoys being a guest lecturer at the University of Virginia and the College of William and Mary.
