Cathy Doss joined Freddie Mac as Enterprise Chief Data Officer in September 2023. Prior to Freddie Mac, Cathy held data leadership roles at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, Fannie Mae Multifamily, Equifax, and Genworth.

Her passion for data began back in 1989 when she became a member of the founding team at Capital One. She established their marketing analytics capability and then went on to lead supply chain management. In 2002, she was appointed to the role of Chief Data Officer and added leadership of the global architecture team in 2004.

Cathy earned a B.S. degree in Information Systems from James Madison University, an Associate degree in Nursing from Reynolds Community College, and successfully completed The Executive Program (TEP) at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. Since 2020, Cathy has been recognized annually as one of CDO Magazine’s Global Data Power Women and in 2023, Cathy was appointed to VCU’s Foundation Board.
