Cathy Doss
Cathy Doss joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond as Chief Data Officer in 2018. In this inaugural role at the Bank, she is responsible for optimizing the value of their information assets and analytics, aligning the business and technology teams on a common data vision and strategy, and evolving their data-driven culture.
Prior to joining the Fed, Cathy was the inaugural Multifamily Business Data Officer at Fannie Mae. She has extensive experience in data, technology, and business strategy and served as Chief Client Officer for Equifax prior to joining Fannie Mae.
Her passion for data began back in 1989 when she became a member of the founding team at Capital One. She created their marketing analytics capability and then went on to lead supply chain management. In 2002, she was appointed to the role of Chief Data Officer and added leadership of the global architecture team in 2004.
Cathy earned a B.S. degree in Information Systems from James Madison University, an Associate degree in Nursing from Reynolds Community College, and successfully completed The Executive Program (TEP) at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
Since 2020, Cathy has been recognized annually as one of CDO Magazine’s Global Data Power Women and in 2023, Cathy was appointed to VCU’s Foundation Board.
